CNY Dedicated Post

Happy Chinese New Year!!
Okay, it's actually on tomorrow.
It feels great to be back. It's all family time and stuffs.

And to be honest, I have a happy family. Generally, I've got no complaints about my family members. Not everyone is that lucky, mind you. To be able to be back and eat great food and sleep nice bed, live in a nice house and have such a warm environment is not something that everyone would get.

That brings us all back to feeling thankful for whatever that's given to us. True, my family ain't perfect. Everyone has flaws but in my family, none are too serious to cause any major problems.

I've got friends who are ungrateful, who can't wait to get out of their home everyday. No, I'm not particularly pointing at anyone. But to be honest, nothing feels nicer than to be at home. Really, I can never understand how some 14 and 15-year-olds can run away from home. It's like, you're literally given everything free and you get to enjoy your lives. Why do you have to throw them all away and then run with your boyfriend, who can't even buy you a decent meal (and you most probably insist that you want him to buy you bags and stuffs)?

And then there're some people who keep saying that their parents overprotect them and things like that. If you're 13 and you're most probably hitting your puberty, that, I can understand. You're most probably going through your rebellious phase and wanna attract attention. But what I cannot understand is that, you're already 18 and then you blame your parents for not bringing up well. It's like, your parents already send you to study at somewhere faraway from home and yet you're complaining that they overprotect you! It's not like they lock you up in your room and don't let you out. And you get to go out with your friends and basically still have freedom of movement. So, this is called overprotective?

And I also don't like how some children who keep saying things like, "You're my parents and you're responsible for bringing me up. It's your fault that I'm like this today!" Shut up, you idiot. I hate those who keep blaming their parents for not knowing how to bring them up. You're old enough to think what's right and wrong, your parents do not have to tell you a lot of things already. They do not have to tell you every single thing (or else you're say they're annoying and overprotecting you). Be smart yourself.

That's why I feel really lucky that my family's fine the way they are. I've seen some ungrateful teenagers who just don't know how to appreciate how lucky they are to have a complete family. A lot of kids out there are begging to have a family and they don't even have.

Really, you lot of troublesome kids, grow up. Your family's not going to be with you forever.
