My Perception on Beauty

You still remember my post about korean stars with plastic surgeries?

I can't believe how deluded this world can be. I understand that having plastic surgery is everyone's freedom. There's no law saying that plastic surgeries are banned.

But it's disappointing how the society's perception of beauty had changed so much.
Do you know that centuries ago, fat (or rather plump) people are considered pretty? And most women are not skinny long long time ago. Just go look at those paintings and sculptures.
Most women were plump and they were what the old society called beauty.

Albrecht Dürer, Adam and Eve, 1504, German Renaissance.

I personally have nothing against society nowadays that want to have thinner girls (I stress this specifically on girls). But plastic surgeries have changed things up to the extend where if you look NORMAL, you're now considered UGLY.

Right, people. If you are normal girl-next-door kind, then you're actually labelled ugly.

You know why? Because we're having more and more pretty gals who do plastic surgeries nowadays that make normal people  look ugly.
What hurts even more is when these normal looking people feel damn inferior. It has decreased their self-esteem so much that they don't think they're pretty at all (when they look pretty normal).

Doesn't the society get this? Plastic surgeries is not real, that's why is plastic! True, Dawn Yang, Angelababy, Xiaxue (did nose), Girls Generation, Wondergirls, all came out fine. They're so pretty that I will look at them and stare at them sometimes.

But don't let the plastic take over your confidence.People like to say, "OMG.. look that the Girls Generation members' legs. So blardeh sexy. I wanna look like them too! Like my legs now, it's so full of fats"

Seriously, you should know that they're legs are not real. So, why let these plastics take over your identity, take over what defines you?

Be yourself and as cliche as it may sound (and contradicts with one of Xiaxue recent posts), beauty comes from within.

I know, the first thing we look in a person is his/her physical beauty but it's the first, not the only.

This is to say that it's okay to do plastics but please, don't let it bring yourself down.

Two posts in a day and I hope it's less boring. XD
