Terms We Never Really Understand.

I suppose you all knew already I'm taking Arts Arts (without those designs stuffs, which are unfortunately what I want the most) in A Levels. So, it's quite a big transition for me. I'm not a Science person cos' I have difficulty problems memorising digestion in human body or the whole blardy photosynthesis process in plant.. you know la.. those carbon dioxide and oxygen and hydroxyll (err.. is that correct?). And of course, those long scientific terms.
I don't understand. Why make life so hard man?
You see, there're words that can be used and people understand. So why not replace:

  1. Photosynthesis as: process of plant making food
  2. Oxygen as: gas we breathe in
  3. Carbon dioxide as: gas we breathe out
  4. Sodium chloride as: table salt lah....(I actually Google-d this. Pn. Poh will kill me if she sees this)
  5. Digestion as: process of crushing food into smaller pieces
  6. Faeces as: s.h.i.t
  7. NaCl + H2O as: table salt plus water (if such equation actually exist)
See?? Why make life so hard right?
But looks like these professors feel that torturing only Science students is unfair. So they decide to torture Arts students also.
New terms I learnt for the pass few days (but I don't really quite know the meaning):

  1. Opportunity cost
  2. Defendent
  3. Rex/Regina (which is apparently King/Queen in Latin..A-Level is by British but they just don't want to use English. They like Latin instead)
  4. Accused
  5. Claimant
  6. Marginal Benefit and Marginal Cost (bloody hell... just say benefit and cost lah....why add the word "marginal" there?)
  7. Attorney General
  8. Solicitor and Barrister
See? And guess what, in designs, there're also whole load of artistic terms that... I just don't know what to say. But to be honest, so far, I find that it's much easier to understand these new subjects. Not that they're damn easy that kind. Business is quite a dry and boring subject actually..but well, I find it much easier to understand these than Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Still I can't deny the fact that I did have fun during to Science days. Who could forget the dissection of the frog, the smell of ammonia and those interesting Physics law?

Uhh.. well, goodbye science days.

hahahahahahahaha if u name NaCl as table salt, then what about MgCl2? name it as table salt 2? then u will have table salt 3, table salt 4.... u better hope that pn poh don't see this =D hmm... i think that business and accounts is so much harder to understand than physics law. btw, i never realized that u think physics law are interesting. i miss dissection of frogs too ^^ although i pity the frogs~~
