My Retarded Guide to Saving Your Papa's and Mama's Money

Excited to see me updating this?
I know you do.
So, after staying here in Subang for a few days, everything here is expensive. Yeah, I know you know that I know. I mean, it's so boring because everything I eat, I need to check for the price. If it's too expensive, I can't eat. If it's too cheap, I need to see if it's clean. And now when I go out to buy my meal, I need to go out, wander (did I spell this right) around for 1 hour and still don't know what to buy. If I'm going out with my mom, we can just bloody enter a restaurant to eat because I don't have to check for the price. And over here, every ringgit counts. Even when I buy cheap things, when I accumulate them together, I seemed to have spent a lot.

So then, now, I learnt to hunt for cheap things. Like:

  1. If you wanna buy instant mee, buy Mamee instead of Maggi. Mamee costs RM1.25 per cup wheareas Maggi is RM1.50 per cup (prices checked in Carrefour). You get to save RM0.25. Don't think it's nothing. It's still money. Better save while you can.
  2. Buy cereals like Koko Krunch because they save money, healthy and when suddenly you're hungry, you can eat them. You can even eat them for breakfast. You can save money for breakfast this way. Remember to buy that kind of jumbo pack where they write, "Free 20g and save RM1.25". Save money and can last longer.
  3. Buy bread and eggs so that you can fry eggs in the morning and kiap the bread together. Save money for breakfast again.
  4. Wake up later during weekends (like 11.30 a.m.) so that you can eat branch  sekaligus. Save money, again.
  5. There's this cafe which sell a plate of bihun for only RM1.90 in Carrefour (but it's not that delicious, actually). Tax not included. If you oder a glass of plain water, it costs RM0.60. Bring your water bottle together, and order a plate of bihun and you get your stomach full in less than RM2.50.
  6. We all know city people eat more than we do, so share your food with your friends if they're damn a lot. Then you can save money.
  7. McDonalds might be cheaper than other restaurants but do your best not to eat it before 12.00 and after 3.00. If you're going to buy the McValue lunch, make sure you buy it at 2.45 p.m. (maybe you'll need 15 minutes to line up, if there're a lot of people) so that you can eat it as lunch+tea time. This way, you won't get hungry that fast and you can eat your dinner later and you don't have to eat supper anymore.
  8. Don't buy junk food too much because you won't be full and they waste money. Plus, they're not healthy. Or else, you'll be sick and you'll need money for going to the clinic. But, of course, some sweet stuffs for you to keep awake during class will be useful. In my college, I can get free sweets to keep me awake.
See, I'm doing my best to save money. Proud or not?
By the way, I'm borrowing my brother's lappie.

Hey gal.. Now u know my life? Even in Melaka I do that all the time. Not like you don't know I eat out everyday. I already have an in-built calculator of prices of food. Once in a while, treating yourself with some fancy meals will be nice. At least to me, since I don't shop etc. Haha. Hmm. Certain rooms/accomodations don't allow cooking right, at least it's because there's no stove..
