People and Their Minds

You know, I think deep down inside, all of us are racist. Unconsciously.
Yes, maybe that includes me.

A typical example would be this. A bus accident happening at XX place. 10 people died in that accident. What you can hear is that most people will ask, "Eh, so many people die! XX race or YY race ah?" And then the other person will say, "XX race die more. "

The first person will usually reply, "Aiyo, XX die more ah! Pitiful... XX race leh... If it's YY race, then perhaps not so pitiful la..."

Typical. They don't know what they are saying.

The Clock Doesn't Tick

Just last Saturday, which is the Valentine's Day, I have a friend who passed away.
A shocking news, I know. Perhaps all of us expected it but one dared to think for the worst.
We all hoped while we still could.

And then, out of the sudden, we realised she can't go to school like us. She can't laugh with us anymore. She can't talk with us anymore. She can't study like us anymore.
Her absence can still be felt in the school.
How much I hope she's still here. It seems as if it was just yesterday I was talking to her. If I knew that she was going, I would've talk with her more instead of the usual "hi"s and "bye"s.

Of course, as time passes, we slowly got over it. When I went to her funeral service on Wednesday, I felt refreshed. What touches me the most is her family and best friends strength. They were all so brave to smile. It wasn't easy, I realise. Never in my life until now, I have a friend who passed away.
Now, I appreciate my life so much more. Because life is so fragile.
You really will not know what will happen next.
At the tender age of 17, when she could still dream, her clock stops ticking.

All right, I think I better stop those emotional stuffs before I see my tears from my eyes.
On a happier note...
Actually, nothing really happy happen this week. It was normal and busy student life of mine.
Well, exam's coming and I'm bound to fail my Chemistry and Biology.
Jeez... I'm so negative. I really don't know what's happening to me. Ever since I started the year 2009, I became negative and felt like rebelling everyone.
Gasp! I might get pregnant! Gasp!

So anyway, I should be happier. This year is not even as busy as last year. Maybe because my heart and concentration is no more with my school. As time flies, the timetable is becoming more and more boring. Everyday is Sciences. Sciences are everyday.
Now, I'm 200 percent confirm I am not interested at all with Science. It's the most boring subject on Earth.
But I have to admit it gives bundle of knowledge to me.
Sigh...

When Dreams Make Roads

Ever since the day I fell for art, I found my main source of my motivation. It makes me happy and live like a wonderful person.
It all started when I watched Fullmetal Alchemist and was flabbergasted with the awesome storyline and characters. That's when I started wondering if I can make stories that great.
And then Fruits Basket inspired me to inspire. I started thinking if I can make people happy by drawing and inspire them and tell them lots more about art.
Ai Yazawa made me realise how I should work hard and talent isn't everything. Looking at her drawing, I knew she's one who knows what she wants.

Until today, I can't help but admire Fujio Fujiko's intelligence. He was a smart person. I then believe that a comic artist not only has to be good in drawing, but he/she has to be smart.
Doraemon's contribution to the world is wonderful. I wonder how many people became comic artist because of it.

My dream is to make one of the best love stories ever. No, not in the world. I don't intend to but I want to make love stories that leave deep memories to the readers.
Yao Fei La is an amazing person (you can get his books in any bookstores, published by Gempak). I love how he made his stories and how focused he is.

Benjamin Zhang Bin made digital art alive. With him, every piece of art digitally done is breathing.

I shall fight for the right of comic lovers in the future. We don't read just for the sake of entertainment or killing our time.
We read comics because we understand the art of comics.
