Twilight and Guys... ???!!!

I don't like big houses. It's so stupid.

I'm going to The One Academy this Saturday. Woohoo!!!

Anyway, let's talk about something else. I watched Twilight two days ago; I wanted to blog this earlier but I wasn't in the mood. The thing is, Twilight rocks!! I never knew that the movie can be this great. You know, usually adaptations are not so good, which is, normal lah. After all, their just adaptations. But Twilight is really a good movie. I love the err... guys? And girls too, I supposed. I've just read the book. And yes, I know the book was out like, ages ago but then, I wasn't into vampires until recently, when one of my friends were telling me about Twilight. So I decided that my mom should fork out 28 bucks for me to enjoy it. Like any other fans, I wanted the second book but it's rather expensive. Fine, it's VERY expensive. I mean, I saw the book in Popular and it's not even in hard cover. They should sell it in cheaper prices. Aren't they supposed to .. you know, promote the love of books to the teenagers? In our BM karangan, we always have questions like, "Huraikan cara-cara untuk menggalakkan para pelajar pada hari ini untuk membaca."

When did I shift my Twilight topic into encouraging book reading topic?

The thing is, Twilight is a good book, at least for me. And we all love the Edward Cullen that we all know. Yes, many love him. It's pitiful that he's a fictional character. I wonder if such guy actually exist in this world. The single one, I mean. I think this is the sort of guys girls are usually looking for. Not your typical ah beng that sell pirated CDs in pasar malam. Oops, did I offend you guys? I'm sorry if I do... teehee !! XD And uh, girls don't like guys who talks harshly. Seriously, if you've seen how some guys behave (very ungentlemen-ly that kind) , you will realise why some girls prefer to be.. lesbians.

"Remember, dreams are costly but don't forget to achieve it at any costs."-anonymous-

Everytime I see her drawings, I'll explode. She is a great artist. If it wasn't for her two years ago, I might not have the guts to start painting in watercolour. She inspires. If you're into watercolour, you should take a look at her drawings.

Anyway, I haven't tell my mom about my planning for The One Academy competition thingy. If I think it seriously, with my level like this, it's almost impossible for me to get any ... you know. I went to look for last year's grand prize winner and Buddha, pigs will fly if I win. (which, I said, is impossible) But like any other girls who dream of their Prince Charming, like Cinderella, I would sometimes dream that I myself ... win. Heck, I dream of it often. Like right now. But then again, we're not Cinderella and Cinderella is not us. Which means dreams are dreams, that's why they're called dreams. Sighh.... but without dreams, how do we move our butts to take action.Contrary to the popular believe that dreaming is nothing (okay, I don't know if such believe exist or not), I think dreaming is totally important.

Well, firstly, dreaming gives you a virtual satisfaction before you slap yourself off with the harsh reality. I mean, it's true right, reality is harsh no maybe, it depends on each person.
Anyway, the thing is, dreaming makes you go for the thing you want, whatever it takes (as long as it's legal, by written law or by nature law) for you to get it. Like, if you dream of Prince Charming(different people will have different definition of Prince Charming), you will do your best to get him, right?
And then, no doubt, dreaming makes you happy. I don't think there are sad or angry dreams because if there is, it should be called as nightmare. Dreaming also makes the impossible becomes possible. Like, you dream of Superman and tadaaa... you have one. The Superman figurine, I mean. Well, another example, remember long long time ago, people used to believe that the earth is flat, until someone said it's not? And now, is Earth flat? Although I see no connection between dreaming and believing that the Earth is flat, but someone must have dreamed it. We don't see it but seeing is not believing.

Okay, so I made some crappy example about the importance of dreaming, but that doesn't mean, just dreaming is enough. It must be followed by actions. ( which I often forget I should ) . Really, dreaming is important but don't let dreams be your master... wait... i think I heard this before.. don't let dreams be your master.. ah!! Now, I remember, from my Form 4 Literature, from the poem "If" !

1) There is God.
2) I'm not him. "

P.S. For those asking for my photographs in Aussie, in case you want to know, I didn't take any. I mean, I did take, but something mysterious happened to the memory card because the pictures inside are gone. But well, I took only one or two pictures(which are then mysteriously erased). One or two beautiful ones... noooeeesss!!! Self-praise is NO GOOD!!

I feel like I'm now one step ahead to happiness!!
Guess what?!!
I am one of the finalists in The One Academy Wall-E competition thingy!! I went home today and was... flabbergasted!! The letter came 11 November but because I was in Aussie, I couldn't see it.
I'm really really happy. I mean, I didn't think the TOA people will actually like my no-meaning-at-all cup globe design. Weeeehhheeeeee!!
But when I told my mom, she doesn't look happy. Not that she's sad but she only replied, "Oh, yameh." When I told her the venue and the date, she said, I might not be able to go because she doesn't really know how to get to The One Academy. My heart is crushed. Snifff.... and it clashes with my school rebuilding fund carnival. I'm suppose to sell my drawings in 6th December. Maybe Buddha loves this date so much so he decided to have the drawing competition on the same day. Snifff... I have to think of a way on how I should get to The One Academy.... sniff... but I have only 5 days to think. I'm supposed to reply them on the 20th Nov on whether I'm going or not.

"It's the law of attraction. When you believe, you achieve."
I'm bored. Bored. Extremely bored.
It's 2.55 a.m. and I'm still stuck at Aussie. It's late, and I'm not asleep yet. Wondering why?
Because my flight is at 7 something in the morning. So I plan not to sleep tonight. Ohohohohoho
Anyway, GempakStarz is publishing a new magazine, in English. It's like Malaysia's first local comic magazine in English. Damn. I'm planning to make a magazine like that in the future. I'm thinking to do.. you know, the first English comic magazine in Malaysia. I'll accept only the top artists in Malaysia to have their comics published in the magazine. But then again, in Malaysia, we don't have much original artists. There are a lot of good ones out there but only a few has original style. I mean, look around the artists around you. They have incredibly good art. They have nice anatomy and blas blas...but most of them got inspired by anime and manga and thus, having a very anime-ish style which isn't very Malaysian-ish. Frankly speaking, my style is rather anime-ish too. Well, after all, I'm an otaku. But I don't do fanarts.I suck in fanarts. The point is, I think, Malaysian artists don't have a specific style which represents... Malaysia. Take Japan for example. You can recognise that a certain picture is by a Japanese artist if there's you know.. big eyes and stuffs like this. And in Korea, they have their specific style too. And China too. And Taiwan. And the Western country.

But to have a specific style can also restrict you from improving and expanding your art. Sigh... honestly, I don't know what I'm crapping. Anyway, there are pros and cons on styling. An artist said (but I have no idea who's that) that a person should focus on being good, not original because when you're good, you're original.

"My life is still wonderful and it will be extremely wonderful."
I would like to comment on Australia's weather. It's very unpredictable. I wouldn't say it's cold. It's not hot either. It's just freaking upredictable.

Anyway, I get to maintain in 5 Sc 2 ! Yays!! Joys for me. Many many joys for me!!! Lucky me for getting a week of extra vacation while my friends are at school. The uniforms in Aussie are so cute!! I can see many different types of uniforms! And their all soooooo cute!! Gyahahahahahhahahahahahah.
