Family

Family, is probably the greatest thing that God ever created. Parents protect their children no matter what happens. Siblings are probably like your souls. Cousins are like your childhood friends, sticking together since you're young. Your family is who you live together from the day you're born until the day you die. Most of your memories has got your family in it. Your family is what really makes you smile most of the time of your life.

This trip to Guangzhou, is the most fulfilling trips I've ever been. it was a different trip as to other countries. I did not buy much stuffs and probably spent less than RM100 in the whole trip. But it's the trip I love the most. Because it's where I got to know my roots. I remember when I watched Little Nyonya, it says that each an every one of us has our own identity. And in order to search for that identity, we need to find our roots. At that time, I liked that quote but I never really fully understand it.

But then now, it's like I found another part of myself. A part of me that will never change no matter how the world changes. The part where I come from. Friends you meet, people you meet, come and go. The world is constantly changing. But it's family that's always constant, a fact that will never change. I don't know how to explain the connection between family members but it's something wonderful. Love  is a wonderful thing. I think it's the beauty of nature.

Look at how parents would take care of their children. Look at YOUR parents. How they would strive for the best just to give you education, a life. I wonder, why parents want to do that? If life is about choices, parents could leave this responsibility aside and lead easier lives without their children. Wouldn't that be much easier? But then why do parents CHOOSE to go through the trouble to work for the family, for giving better lives for children?

Often, the answer is because they're family. But why?


Family, is a creation of nature. The process of mothers giving birth to their children is a nature. And nature, just doesn't give answers. There's no logical answers to family. It's a bond that can't be broken. When in Guangzhou, I've never met my family there. But then, we all have got so much similarities and the the bond is so strong. Because we're all a family.

Blood is thicker than water and I'm really lucky to have a happy big family. It's not a perfect family for nothing is perfect in this world. But the thing that really touches the heart about family is that we all can look beyond imperfections and still feel beautiful. My sister once said that family do not judge you when your friends do. I think family is connected by a strong spiritual connection. We can't see spiritual connection, we can't smell it but what we can, is to feel it.

At the end of the day, money is nothing compared to the bond of family. For those who think that money is everything, boy, you miss a lot of things in life. When you really feel the love of being in a family, you will realise that material stuffs, really is just secondary. I've heard of my friends who's families are broken. I've seen families who can't stay together, who would always fight. I've seen kids fighting with their parents and parents who neglect their children. If only we could look at things from another perspective and enjoy the beauty of a family, everyone would be so happy.


My cousin said, these things are not something to described in any languages in the world. Family, is something that could only be felt in the heart, and it's a warm feeling.
